I've loved these two listens - this is equally as riveting, addictive and pulse-pounding as book 1 and this time there's a few more Chapters from Carter's POV. Emma comes face to face with her long lost sister and that stirs up dark memories and there's unexpected answers too but unfortunately her sister is about to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. This sends Carter into a protective frenzy as he tries to second-guess, outwit and destroy any and all threats against the love of his life. and they come very very close to succeeding. But he can't yet walk away because someone is still after Emma and repeatedly tries to kill her.
The pulse-pounding action continues as Carter gives up his Mafia interests and hands it all over to his friend/Mafia son Cole despite being begged to take over as Boss.
